Abstract
Rozprawa doktorska dotyczy zastosowania reaktora fluidyzacyjnego do procesu spalania stałych paliw alternatywnych, o wysokiej zawartości azotu paliwowego, z równoczesną redukcja tlenków azotu z wykorzystaniem reburning’u. Spalanie paliw prowadzono w stacjonarnym, pęcherzowym złożu fluidalnym, proces reburning’u zlokalizowany był w strefie rzadkiej reaktora. Badania podzielono na trzy etapy. W pierwszym, jako paliwo zastosowano propan z dodatkiem NO lub N2O, dzięki któremu uzyskano w spalinach opuszczających pierwszą strefę spalania, stężenie tlenków azotu na odpowiednio wysokim poziomie. Określono sposób i warunki wprowadzania paliwa reburning’owego, pozwalające na obniżenie emisji tlenków azotu. W drugim etapie prac przeprowadzono spalanie osadu ściekowego oraz zużytej ziemi bielącej z równoczesną redukcją NOx i N2O w strefie rzadkiej reaktora. W ostatnim etapie badań przeprowadzono symulację dopalania gazów opuszczających strefę reburning’ową. Wyniki badań wykazały możliwość przeprowadzenia redukcji tlenków azotu w strefie rzadkiej reaktora fluidyzacyjnego. Efektywność procesu reburning’u dochodzi do 80% w przypadku redukcji stężenia NOx oraz w przypadku N2O jest na poziomie około 85%, przy współczynnika nadmiaru powietrza w strefie reburning’u (λr) o wartości ~1,00. Wyniki przeprowadzonej symulacji pokazały, że wysokie stężenia CO i węglowodorów (LZO) w spalinach ze strefy reburning’u można obniżyć, poprzez dodatek powietrza skutkujący uzyskaniem λ na poziomie ~1,05. Pozwala on na praktycznie całkowite utlenienie LZO i obniżenie stężenia CO poniżej 1 mg/m3.
The doctoral dissertation concerns application of the fluidized bed reactor for combustion of alternative solid fuels, that contain high quantity of fuel-nitrogen, with simultaneous reduction of nitrogen oxides using reburning (process). Combustion of fuels was carried out in a stationary, bubbling fluidized bed. The reburning process was located in the rare zone of the reactor. Studies were divided into three stages. At first stage propane was used as fuel with the addition of NO or N2O. This addition allowed to obtain the concentration of nitrogen oxides at appropriately high level in the exhaust gases leaving the first combustion zone. The method and conditions of reburning fuel addition, allowing to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides, were determined. In the second stage of researches combustion of sewage sludge and waste bleaching earth with simultaneous reduction of NOx and N2O in rare zone of reactor were conducted. In the last stage of the study combustion of gases leaving the reburning zone was simulated. The results of researches confirmed the possibility of carrying out the reduction of nitrogen oxides in rare zone of fluidized bed reactor. Efficiency of reburning process reaches 80% in case of reduction of NOx concentration and in case of N2O it is about 85% for an excess air ratio in reburning zone (λr) ~1.00. Obtained outcomes are similar and in some cases even better than the results obtained in devices other than with bubbling fluidized bed. The results of simulation showed that high concentrations of CO and hydrocarbons (VOC) in the exhaust gases from reburning zone can be decreased by the addition of air which provides λ ~1.05. It allows for virtually complete oxidation of VOC and reduction of CO concentration below 1 mg/m3.
