Abstract: In the paper, the mechanical properties of structural stainless steels referred to in EN 1993-1-4 [6] used in the design of building structures and civil engineering works, are described. Some information about stainless steel behaviour at elevated temperatures is also given.

W artykule opisano właściwości mechaniczne konstrukcyjnych stali nierdzewnych objętych normą EN 1993-1-4 [6], stosowanych w projektowaniu budowlanych obiektów inżynierskich. Podano również informacje na temat zachowania stali nierdzewnych w podwyższonych temperaturach.
