National Library of Czech Republic created its digital library in cooperation with Moravian Library Brno between years 2009–2014. This year is the fifth year of this cooperation. Within the project National Digital Library we digitise documents which are mostly at a verge of physical destruction. We digitise, preserve and grant access to documents via web application Kramerius. Beside digitisation of paper documents we also harvest web pages and store them thanks to our own Webarchiv. Webarchiv is a part of National Digital Library since 2008. National Library of Czech Republic also store documents digitised for external institutions, mostly major regional and academic libraries. National Library of Czech Republic for purpose of digitisation creates its own standards and provides methodics and guindance for other institutions with digitisation programmes. To this day National Digital Library of Czech Republic contain about 3214 periodic titles and 186 168 monographic documents. This presentation will focus on description of National Digital Library project and our experience with long therm preservation (LTP) storage and with Webarchiv initiative.
