Abstract
Pojęcie autentyzmu i wartości zabytków uległo ogromnym przemianom, ciążąc od autentyzmu dokumentu do autentyczności doznań odbiorcy. Wynika to z rozwinięcia pojęcia zabytku do wielopostaciowego dziedzictwa kulturowego. Począwszy od „ojców założycieli” zinstytucjonalizowanej ochrony zabytków, poprzez pierwsze akty międzynarodowe, podstawową wartość zabytku stanowiła oryginalność materii budowlanej. Druga wojna światowa zachwiała tym dogmatem. W latach czterdziestych i pięćdziesiątych stosowano retrowersje i rekonstrukcje zniszczonych obiektów; w latach sześćdziesiątych zabytki pielęgnowano dla wartości estetycznej, historycznej i naukowej; w siedemdziesiątych i osiemdziesiątych pojęcie „znaczenia kulturowego” objęło wartości społeczną i duchową. Dokument z Nara rozszerzył aspekty autentyzmu o „nastrój i ekspresję”. Wiek XXI wprowadził w ochronę dziedzictwa niematerialnego i genius loci możliwość wirtualnej rekonstrukcji. Autentyzm stał się wartością sumaryczną dziedzictwa materialnego i niematerialnego.
The concept of authenticity and value of monuments has undergone enormous changes, developing from the authenticity of the document to the authenticity of the recipient’s experience. This is due to the evolution of the very concept of a monument into a multi-form cultural heritage. Beginning with the “founding fathers” of the institutionalized protection of monuments, through the first international acts, the original value of a monument was the authenticity of the building material. The Second World War shattered this dogma. In the 1940s and 1950s, retroversion and reconstruction of damaged structures were used; in the 1960s, monuments were looked after for their aesthetic, historical and scientific value; in the 1970s and 1980s the concept of “cultural significance” encompassed social and spiritual values. The Nara Document extended aspects of authenticity to include “spirit and feeling.” The twenty-first century introduced the possibility of virtual reconstruction in the protection of intangible heritage and genius loci. Authenticity has become the sum value of tangible and intangible heritage.
