Abstract
Artykuł prezentuje historię nowożytnych przekształceń renesansowego ratusza w Bytomiu Odrzańskim między XVI a XX wiekiem. Na wstępie omówiono źródła i literaturę. Na podstawie badań wydzielono główne fazy jego przekształceń. Ratusz powstał w latach 1602–1609, prawdopodobnie na reliktach dawnej karczmy, jako dwukondygnacyjna budowla z wieżą w narożu działki, na planie prostokąta o układzie trójtraktowym, trójpasmowym. Budynek w roku 1694 został zniszczony przez pożar, a następnie odbudowany w latach 1694–1697 według projektu C. Millera z Bolesławca. Zmieniono wówczas m.in. podziały wewnętrzne i wprowadzono nowe, drewniane stropy w parterze. Dalsze przebudowy barokowe wykonano w połowie XVIII wieku. Zmieniono wówczas układ wnętrza oraz dobudowano od zachodu dwukondygnacyjne skrzydło tylne. Około 1860 r. podwyższono bryłę ratusza oraz dodano neobarokowe detale na froncie. Duże zmiany układu wnętrz na pierwszym i drugim piętrze przyniosła przebudowa z początku XX wieku.
This paper presents the history of the modern transformations of the Bytom Odrzański Renaissance town hall between the sixteenth and twentieth centuries. At the outset, the sources and literature are discussed. Based on research, the main transformation phases were distinguished. The town hall was built in the years 1602–1609, probably on the remains of a tavern, as a two-story structure with a tower in its plot's corner, on a rectangular plan with a three-bay, three-strip layout. In 1694, it burned down and was later rebuilt to a design by C. Miller from Bolesławiec. This introduced internal divisions and new wooden ceilings on the ground floor. Further Baroque reconstructions were made in the mid-eighteenth century. The interior layout was then changed, and a two-story rear wing was added from the west. Around 1860, the building’s main body was raised and Baroque Revival details were added to its front. An early-twentieth-century remodeling significantly changed the first- and second-floor interior layouts.
