Abstract
This paper presents a digital reconstruction of the sixteenth-century royal palace in Łobzów using 3D modeling software. The model shows the most probable view of this royal residence at the time of its remodeling by sculptor and architect Santi Gucci. Recreating the hypothetical form of the palace was possible due to a prior examination and analysis of historical and iconographic records as well as analysis of virtual 3D models of the residence from different times. Another thing which enabled the digital reconstruction was the comparative analysis of architectural solutions found in other existing designs attributed to Santi Gucci. Due to the lack of sufficient iconographic sources from that period it was not possible to define conclusively the form the residence acquired during the reign of Stephen Báthory. Thus the 3D model constitutes one of possible variants of the Renaissance residence and may be helpful in further research on the architectural form and details of the palace.
