W latach 2022–2024 w zamku Grodziec przeprowadzono badania oraz prace konserwatorskie i restauratorskie przy dwóch piaskowcowych portalach. Relikty wczesnorenesansowego portalu Wendla Roskopfa z 1522 r., ukryte pod cementową zaprawą, odsłonięto i poddano analizie. Prace pozwoliły na lepsze poznanie techniki wykonania oraz stanu zachowania dzieła. Podkreślono jednak potrzebę dalszych badań, m.in. weryfikacji fragmentów portalu ze zbiorów Muzeum Architektury we Wrocławiu. Jednocześnie konserwacji i restauracji poddano neogotycki portal głównego wejścia do palatium autorstwa Bodo Ebhardta z 1907 r. Prace obejmowały głównie stabilizację dekoracji maswerkowej, oczyszczenie i wzmocnienie piaskowca, rekonstrukcję brakujących elementów i punktowe scalanie kolorystyczne. Działania te poprawiły estetykę i zabezpieczenie obu obiektów, poszerzając wiedzę o historii zamku, jego przekształceniach budowlanych i wartościach artystycznych.
Research and conservation and restoration work on two sandstone portals located at Grodziec Castle was conducted in the years 2022–2024. The remains of an early Renaissance portal by Wendel Roskopf from 1522, hidden under cement mortar, were uncovered and subjected to analysis. The work allowed us to gain further insight into the workmanship and state of preservation of the portal. However, a need for further research is stressed, including a verification of fragments of the portal from the collection of the Museum of Architecture in Wrocław. At the same time, a Gothic Revival portal of the main entrance to the palatium by Bodo Ebhardt from 1907 was subjected to conservation and restoration. The work mainly covered the stabilization of tracery decoration, the cleaning and reinforcement of sandstone, and the reconstruction of missing elements and spot color merging. These measures have improved the aesthetics and state of preservation of both portals, while expanding knowledge of the castle’s history, building transformations and artistic values.
