Abstrakt
W artykule poruszono zagadnienie budowy systemów komunikacji podziemnej w miastach historycznych oraz związanych z tym zagrożeń dla dziedzictwa archeologicznego na podstawie analizy wybranych realizacji europejskich. Zagadnienie omówiono również pod kątem rozwijających się technologii drążenia tuneli i wpływu nowych metod na stan zachowania zasobu dziedzictwa archeologicznego. Przedstawiono ewolucję myśli konserwatorskiej na przestrzeni 150 lat doświadczeń wprowadzania tego typu infrastruktury w przestrzeń zabytkową.
The issue of constructing underground transportation systems in historic cities and the associated threats to archaeological heritage is addressed, based on an analysis of selected European realizations. This issue is discussed both in terms of developing tunneling technologies and the impact of new methods on the preservation of archaeological heritage. The evolution of conservation thinking over 150 years of experience in introducing this type of infrastructure into historic spaces is presented.
