Abstrakt
Właściwe rozpoznanie konstrukcji stolarskiej drzwi oraz wykonanie szczegółowej inwentaryzacji pomiarowo-rysunkowej stanowi jedną z podstawowych metod badawczych tego typu zabytków. Pomaga ona w identyfikacji drzwi, ustaleniu czasu ich powstania i ewentualnych przekształceń, a także w poznaniu tajników dawnego rzemiosła stolarskiego. Badania konserwatorskie nad zastosowaną kolorystyką i sposobem wykończenia powierzchni drewna mają istotne znaczenie dla rekonstrukcji historycznej estetyki architektury i jej wnętrz. Aspekty te w konsekwencji służą prawidłowemu przeprowadzeniu prac konserwatorskich, z poszanowaniem nie tylko rozwiązań dekoracyjnych, lecz także stolarskich – konstrukcyjnych i kolorystycznych. Dokumentowanie szczegółów takich rozwiązań stanowi również istotny wkład w tworzenie bazy danych, która może być następnie wykorzystywana w celach porównawczych także dla innych realizacji stolarskich pochodzących z różnych obiektów i regionów.
Conducting an accurate assessment of a period door’s construction and a detailed measured survey and drawings are fundamental steps to take when analyzing this type of architectural heritage. These research methods help to identify the structural details of the door, determine when it was made and any alterations it may have undergone, and also reveal some
of the secrets of the joiner’s craft. Conservation investigations into the timber surface treatments and color schemes used provide crucial insights into the historical aesthetics of buildings and their interiors. These are all important factors in planning and executing appropriate conservation work that respects not only the door’s historic decorative features, but also its structural design and color scheme. Recording these details is also instrumental in creating a database which can be used for comparative studies of other woodwork from various buildings and different regions.
