Abstract
Na wierzchowinie Krzemionek, na krakowskim Podgórzu, znajduje się stadion użytkowany niegdyś przez Klub Sportowy Korona. Obiekt jest wpisany do gminnej ewidencji zabytków. Na jego terenie, obok elementów architektonicznych pierwotnej kompozycji, czytelne są wcześniejsze historyczne umocnienia ziemne Twierdzy Kraków. Obszar ten pozostaje pod presją inwestycyjną ze strony użytkowników terenu. Artykuł przedstawia historię oraz tło polityczne powstania stadionu, a także jego walory architektoniczne i krajobrazowe, jak również koncepcję zagospodarowania terenu z poszanowaniem wartości kompozycyjnych i historycznych.
On the top of Krzemionki, in Cracow’s Podgórze district, is a stadium once used by the Korona Sports Club. The building is listed in the municipal monument records. Its site, alongside the architectural elements of the original composition, there are legible, older historical earthworks of the Cracow Fortress. The area remains under development pressure from the land’s users. This article presents the history and political background of the stadium’s construction, as well as its architectural and landscape qualities, and proposes developing the site with respect for compositional and historical values.
