Abstrakt
Spatial Policy of the City Functional Area on the Example of Cracow. The aim of this research is to develop methods and techniques of recording for city functional areas. For many years the attention of the authorities and researchers has been focused mainly on terminology and delimitation. The proposed method concentrates on the recording of a planning model, which reflects main idea of the spatial structure development. Ensuring continuity of corridors linking strategic areas and the location of nodal places defines the scope better than delimitations based on commuting to work and development density. The aim of this approach is to increase effectiveness of the spatial policy.
