Abstract
Zbadano przydatność technologii sond fluorescencyjnych (FPT) do monitorowania przebiegu procesu utwardzania żywic epoksydowych aminami alifatycznymi. W roli sondy fluorescencyjnej wykorzystano oranż akrydynowy. Jako wskaźnik postępu utwardzania przyjęto stosunek intensywności fluorescencji mierzonych przy dwóch długościach fali, zlokalizowanych po obu stronach maksimum widma fluorescencji sondy. Stwierdzono, że widmo fluorescencji sondy akrydynowej przesuwa się w stronę fal krótszych w miarę postępu addycji grup aminowych do epoksydowych. Umożliwia to śledzenie postępu utwardzania żywic epoksydowych. Zaproponowano więc użycie metody FPT do badań kinetyki utwardzania kompozycji epoksydowych oraz do kontroli stopnia utwardzenia powłok epoksydowych stosowanych w przemyśle.
Applicability of fluorescence probe technique (FPT) for monitoring of the progress of curing of epoxy resins with amine hardeners has been evaluated. Acridine orange was applied as a fluorescent probe. Ratio of fluorescence intensities, measured at two wavelengths located on both sides of the probe fluorescence spectrum, was applied as an indicator of the curing progress. It was found that the fluorescence spectrum of acridine orange shifted to shorter wavelengths with the progress of addition polymerization of the amine/epoxide system. This enabled monitoring of the curing process of epoxy formulations by FPT. Hence, the application of FPT for study of the curing kinetics and for control of degree of cure of epoxy coatings used in industry has been proposed.
