Abstrakt
In the Theoretical sphere, one of the prime Principles of spatial and urban planning is its hierarchical organization from the national level, through the regional level, to the local level. In this way, the spatial planning system subjects the interests of the individual to the interests of the local community and the interests of the community in the interest of the region and the state. When assessing the isn’t spatial planning system in Poland, it should be noted That the only local plans are closely related to specific Legislation, including environmental protection, cultural heritage, as well as more detailed regulations, dry as technical conditions That should correspond this construction and building law. The aim of the article is discussed this in more detail the above problems on the example of the use of natural and cultural landscapes in the plans for the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Region.
