Tematem artykułu jest historia powstania oraz przekształceń architektury zespołu pałacowo-klasztornego w Otyniu. Na wstępie omówiono wzmianki źródłowe, literaturę oraz ikonografię archiwalną. Bazując na pionierskich badaniach, wydzielono najstarsze partie założenia z XV w. oraz prześledzono proces jego przekształceń od XVI do połowy XVIII w. Zaprezentowano szczegółowo przemiany w obrębie zespołu – poszczególne etapy realizacji skrzydeł oraz kaplicy. W podsumowaniu przedstawiono kierunki nurtów stylistycznych płynących z Europy i kształtujących architekturę założenia na początku XVII w.
The subject of this article is the history of the construction and transformation of the palace and monastery complex in Otyń. In the Introduction, historical sources, literature, and archival iconography are discussed. Based on the authors’ pioneering research, the oldest parts of the complex, which date back to the fifteenth century, have been identified. Moreover, the transformation of the monastery from the sixteenth to the mid-eighteenth century has also been determined. A detailed presentation of the changes within the complex, including the construction of the wings and the chapel, is presented.
