Przedmiot niniejszej pracy stanowią zespoły mieszkaniowe przeznaczone dla osób starszych wykorzystujące w swoim programie funkcjonalnoprzestrzennym różne formy animaloterapii. W rozprawie wykorzystano metody badań teoretycznych, terenowych in situ, badań empirycznych, autorskiej relacji oraz studium przypadków.
Autorka nakreśla problem i tematykę pracy, przedmiot i cel, przyjęty zakres czasowy i terytorialny oraz metody badawcze.
W rozdziale I oraz rozdziale II autorka dokonuje charakterystyki problemu jakim jest zjawisko starzenia się społeczeństwa oraz przedstawia poziom rozwoju idei budownictwa senioralnego w Polsce, porównując go z innymi krajami.
Rozdział III i rozdział IV to przedstawienie historii oraz charakterystyki terapii z udziałem zwierząt z odniesieniem do konkretnych przykładów ośrodków terapeutycznych na terenie Polski.
W zakresie obu poruszanych tematyk, autorka omawia podstawowe założenia funkcjonalno-przestrzenne wyróżnianych typologii zabudowy tych zespołów oraz ośrodków.
W rozdziale V autorka przeprowadza modelowe badania porównawcze wykorzystywanych elementów funkcjonalno-przestrzennych w zespołach mieszkaniowych i ośrodkach zooterapeutycznych na podstawie analizy wybranych placówek przedstawionych we wcześniejszych rozdziałach pracy.
Ostatni rozdział zawiera wnioski wynikające z przeprowadzonych badań potwierdzające tezy oraz podsumowanie.
The aim of the thesis is to characterise the urban and architectural features of senior housing that use various forms animal therapy in their functional and spatial programme. The author uses methods of theoretical research, field research, empirical research, personal observations and case studies.
At first the author outlines the aim and the topic of the work, the subject and the purpose, along with the temporal and territorial scope, and the applied research methods.
In chapter I and chapter II, the author characterises the issue of the aging of the population and presents the development of senior housing in Poland in comparison to other countries.
Chapter III and chapter IV presents the history and characteristics of therapy involving animals with reference to examples of centres implementing particular therapeutic methods in Poland.
In both topics, the author presents the functional and spatial features of the highlighted typology of housing complexes and therapeutic centres.
In chapter V the author carries out comparative studies of the functional and spatial elements used in senior housing units and zootherapeutic centres on the basis of the analysis of selected housing complexes and therapeutic institutions carried out in the previous chapters of the paper.
The paper ends with conclusions resulting from the conducted studies confirming the theses and a summary.
