Abstrakt
Article analyses two strategies for the revitalization of the Kazimierz district in Kraków: the adaptation of existing buildings and infill developments. Using multi-criteria analysis, 22 properties were evaluated on Likert’s scale according to five criteria. Adaptations scored higher on all criteria. Both strategies can preserve the authenticity of the site, though this is more difficult in infill projects – devoid of formal, narrative frameworks that existing buildings provide for adaptations.
Artykuł analizuje dwie strategie rewitalizacji dzielnicy Kazimierz w Krakowie: adaptację istniejących budynków i realizacje plombowe. Metodą wielokryterialnej analizy porównawczej przebadano 22 obiekty, w pięciostopniowej skali Likerta według pięciu kryteriów. Adaptacje uzyskały wyższy wynik w każdym kryterium. Obie strategie mogą zachować autentyczność miejsca, w przypadku plomb jest to wyraźnie trudniejsze – pozbawione formalnych i narracyjnych ram, które adaptacjom dostarcza zastany budynek.
