W ziemi wypełniającej przestrzeń między renesansowymi ceglanymi ścieżkami na Wawelu, stosując metodę analizy palinologicznej, szukano ziaren pyłku roślin, które mogły być uprawiane w tym miejscu w okresie renesansu. Niestety, nie znaleziono dowodów na uprawę roślin w tym miejscu, ale wskazano, jakie zbiorowiska roślinne mogły otaczać miejsce, skąd pobrano ziemię do wypełnienia rabat.
Pollen and spores were searched in the sediment filled spaces among renaissance brick paths at the Wawel Hill kings gardens. Unfortunately, there were no palynological proves to any plants cultivation here. Anyway it was stated which type of vegetation community developed in close neighboring of the place where the earth to the gardens were collected.
