Abstract: Artykuł stanowi refleksję na temat roli zieleni na elewacjach współczesnych budynków. Autorka stara się odpowiedzieć na pytanie, czy pnącza lub zaawansowane technologicznie ściany zielone, mogą być nazywane współczesnym ornamentem, niosącym przekaz informacyjny o związku architektury z ekologią.

The paper is a reflection of the role of greenery on the facades of modern buildings. The author tries to answer the question, whether ivy, or advanced green walls, can be called a contemporary ornament, carrying the information about the relationship between architecture and ecology.
