Abstract: Detal w architekturze służy poszukiwaniu, odkrywaniu i definiowaniu kształtu współczesnej budowli. Geometria i kompozycja, konstrukcja i materiał, faktura i kolor - każdy z wymienionych elementów, jako detal współtworzy charakter architektury, buduje jego kształt, tworzy formę, definiuje przestrzeń. Idea architektoniczna wskazując zasadę kompozycji określa stosowną relację pomiędzy całością, a częścią. Detal z racji swojej geometrii, konstrukcji, zastosowanego materiału staje się istotną częścią całości. W jakim stopniu możliwe jest wskazanie relacji pomiędzy charakterem detalu i kształtem architektury, w którym miejscu zaznacza się granica detalu w formie architektonicznej, a w którym sensualność architektury jest w całości detalem? Owo pytanie kieruje uwagę na rolę detalu w identyfikacji formy architektonicznej.

Detail in architecture is used for discovering and defining the shape of modern buildings. The geometry and composition, design and materiał, texture and color - each of these elements, as a detail co-creates the character of architecture, building its shape, creates the form, defines the space. The idea of an architectural composition showing rule defines a relation between entirety and part. Detail becomes a vital part of the entirety because of its geometry, construction and material. It is possible to identify the relationship between the nature and shape of the architectural detail of where the boundary points of detail in the architectural form and the sensuality of architecture is in full detail. This question directs attention to the role of detail in the identification of architectural form.
