Abstract: Architektoniczny detal jest dla architektury czymś immanentnym. Architektura bez detalu nie istnieje, jest on jej dany z natury. Z pomocą architektonicznego detalu można wyrazić tożsamość miejsca - czasu - człowieka - grupy społecznej. W publikacji przywołany został przykład stylu zakopiańskiego. Powstały na przełomie XIX i XX wieku posłużył do poszukiwania i budowania tożsamości narodu polskiego.

The Architectural detail of architecture is something immanent. Architecture does not exist without detail. It is its nature. With the help of the architectural detail it is possible to express the identity of the place - time - man - social group. The paper presents an example of the Zakopane style, created at the turn of the twentieth century. It has been used for searching and building the identity of the Polish nation.
