Od początku XX wieku jesteśmy świadkami eksperymentu architektonicznego – poszukiwania na nowo trwałości, użyteczności i piękna w architekturze. Od stu lat, także jednym z głównych narzędzi kreowania przestrzeni architektonicznej jest beton. Artykuł jest próbą ukazania związków pomiędzy ideą architektoniczną a materią betonową – dwu rzeczy tworzących ekspresję i nowatorstwo architektury współczesnej.
From the beginning o 20th century we are witnesses of architectural experiment – looking for strength, utility, beauty in architecture anew. From hundred years as well concrete has been a main instrument to create an architectural form. The paper is also an attempt to present relationships between architectural idea and concrete material – two aspects creating expression and innovation of contemporary architecture.
