Abstract: Twórcze interpretowanie trwania w architekturze musi w spójny sposób łączyć przeszłość, teraźniejszość i przyszłość na kilku poziomach – ideowym, przestrzennym i formalnym, ucieleśniając ten związek w dziele architektonicznym. W niniejszym artykule autor stawia hipotezę, że jest to możliwe głównie poprzez głębokie redefiniowanie i tworzenie nowego kontekstu przestrzennego i historycznego dzieła, ilustrując rozważania dwoma wybranymi projektami.

The creative interpretation of time in architecture involves the coherence of the past, the now and the future on different levels – ideological, spatial and formal, embodying this unity in the architectural object. In this paper, the author states the hypothesis, that this unity is possible to achieve only through the deep redefinition and making of the spatial and historical context of the given design. The argument is illustrated with two specific projects.
