W Krakowie wzrasta świadomość potrzeby ochrony wybitnych dzieł modernizmu z pierwszej połowy lat 60. XX wieku jako kolejnej składowej bogatego dziedzictwa historycznego. Jednocześnie tendencji tej nie towarzyszy spontaniczne upodobanie do architektury tamtej doby. Wydaje się, że sytuacja ta nie jest wynikiem uchybień twórców ani niskiej świadomości estetycznej odbiorców, lecz raczej nieusuwalnej obcości modernistycznego paradygmatu w kreacji architektonicznej.
In Cracow, the awareness of the need to protect the outstanding modernist works dating back to the first half of the 60’s of the XX century – as yet another component element of the rich historical heritage, is constantly on the increase. At the same time, this trend does not seem to be accompanied by a spontaneous liking for the architecture of that time. It seems that this situation is not so much the outcome of the negli- gence on behalf of the creators, nor of the low level of esthetic awareness of the recipients, but rather of the irremovable strangeness of the modernist paradigm in the architectural creation.
