Abstract
Kożuchów, podobnie jak inne nieco zapomniane i zaniedbane miasta szuka sposobów na powstrzymanie dalszej degradacji, a nawet sposobów na ożywienie i rozwój. Jednym z nich może być ponowne wykorzystanie systemu obronnego w przestrzeni współczesnego starego miasta. Zachowane w dobrym stanie mury obronne, baszty, basteje oraz fosa a także zamek, będący elementem tego systemu, mogą stać się największą atrakcją turystyczną Kożuchowa a także regionu W ten sposób fortyfikacje Kożuchowa, które kiedyś chroniły miasto przed zniszczeniem dzisiaj znów mogą przyczynić się powstrzymania jego degradacji a nawet być czynnikiem miastotwórczym.
Kożuchów, today somewhat abandoned and neglected town, is eagerly seeking for any means of stopping the progressive degradation that could, perhaps, secure some kind of development in the future. On of those could be reuse of former very well preserved defense system – old walls, bastions and towers. When restored, they can become an attractive point of interest for extended tourist movement bringing economical activity not only to the town but also to the entire region. The fortifications, that have saved the town from being plundered and destroyed many times in the past centuries, can save the town again.
