Beauty is always strange (Ch. Baudelaire). Urban schemes of contemporary European towns reflects their development. New forms appears within existing city fabric. Among them many prestigious investments – museums. Are their forms beautiful? Can we distinguish the canons of beauty and ugliness in contemporary architecture? What can be perceived as avant–garde in the today's architecture of museums? The strange building of MUSAC In Spanish León can be one.
