Abstract: Historical experiences of XX century, strenghtened traditionalism among Poznan's architects community. Controversial ideas of „rebuilding” monuments which didn't exist since ages, are supposed to raise prestige of the city, of which second world war and modernistic reforms of city planning ruined historical part of urban tissue. Manipulations of urban historical landscape are calling forth questions about importance of authentism in estimation of quality of such architectonic work.
