Abstract: During thousands of years, Great Aesthetics Tradition has made the layman understand architecture as a conventional language. This common code was undergoing a very slow evolution, but only this code makes possible to evoke the sense of beauty. According to Lipps – Meyer's principle, conventions as a meaningful skeleton understood by everyone are urgently needed in modern architecture.
