Abstract
Trying to assess objectively the aesthetic value of the modern architectural accomplishments we always meet various difficulties. Similar situation can be observed in apartment construction industry. It seems that the most serious threat to architectural beauty is domination of the utilitarian factors, and to its usefulness – an extreme subordination to aesthetic doctrines. Hence aspirations for gaining balance in this matter seem to be trivial yet extremely current.
