Abstract
Zespoły budynków poprzemysłowych bywają chętnie adaptowane do nowych funkcji. Charakterystyczne rozwiązania przestrzenne, konstrukcyjno-materiałowe oraz specyficzny genius loci obiektów i struktur przemysłowych, stanowią o potencjale tych miejsc. To, co je wyróżnia to również forma architektoniczna i towarzyszący jej detal architektoniczny. Starannie opracowane elewacje stanowią do dziś świadectwo kunsztu dawnych budowniczych stając się jednocześnie inspiracją dla nowej architektury powstającej w sąsiedztwie adaptowanych budynków.
Complexes of postindustrial buildings are willingly adapted to new functions. Characteristic spatial and construction-material outcomes, specific genius loci of objects and industrial structures decide about the potential of these places. Another distinguishing thing is their architectural form and accompanying it architectural detail. Neatly made elevations are a testimony of the old builders' artistry to this day. They are also an inspiration for a new architecture appearing next to the adapted buildings.
