W artykule dokonano wstępnej analizy zjawiska ornamentu w architekturze, przyczyn jego deprecjacji w ruchu nowoczesnym oraz perspektyw kierunku ornamentalnego w obliczu transformacji estetycznych i rozwoju technologii cyfrowych.
The subject of ornament is one of the most controversial aspects of architecture. Today, after decades of rejection in modernism, ornament returns to architectonic repertoire. The paper undertakes a preliminary analysis of prevalence of decoration in architecture, reasons of it's depreciation in modern movement and outlook of ornament in a context of aesthetic transformations and development of digital technology.
