W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono możliwości kształtowania detalu architektonicznego, na przykładzie wertykalnych ogrodów (pionowe ogrody, zielone fasady, mur vegetal). Naturalny detal architektoniczny, który tworzą żywe rośliny stanowiące zielone fasady charakteryzuje bogactwo kolorów i faktur, ale przede wszystkim - często nieprzewidywalna do końca - zmienność wyrazu w czasie. Przyroda funkcjonuje wtedy, jako niecodzienny ornament, który dodatkowo zmienia się wraz z porami roku, temperaturą, nasłonecznieniem, odległością obserwatora od fasady.
Hereby, there are presented possibilities of creating the architectural detail, on the example of vertical gardens (green facades, mur vegetal). Natural architectural detail, which is constructed by living plants is described as richness of colours and textures, and above all - often unforeseeable - the variability of expression in time. The nature is performing as curious ornament, which is in addition changing together with seasons, temperature, insolation and with distance from observer to facade.
