Abstract
Obserwacja postępujących zmian kształtu przestrzeni wielu wielkich, dużych i średniej wielkości miast europejskich pozwala na ustalenie podstawowych zasad i kierunków przekształcania ich struktury. Dotyczą one przede wszystkim różnych aktywności zmierzających do poprawy jakości przestrzeni publicznych wewnątrz miasta i w jego obszarach śródmiejskich, rewitalizacji przestrzeni zdegradowanych poprzez objęcie projektami znacznych obszarów miast w ramach kompleksowych przedsięwzięć. Równolegle trwają poszukiwania rozmaitych aktywności gospodarczych gwarantujących wysoką jakość przestrzeni poprzez lokalizację w sąsiedztwie terenów silnie zurbanizowanych usług specjalistycznych związanych z nauką, kulturą, zdrowiem, wypoczynkiem. Efektem tych działań są liczne przebudowy realizowane w obszarach centralnych wielu miast europejskich, które często obejmują znaczne powierzchnie. Prowadzone są one na podstawie precyzyjne założonych wieloletnich etapów i ich skutkiem jest podniesienie jakości i atrakcyjności przestrzennej miast. Zestawienie tych dokonań z interwencjami w kilku polskich założeniach ujawnia różnice w projektowaniu przedsięwzięć.
The observation of progressive changes in shape over a number of major European cities, large and medium size allows you to set out the basic principles and directions of transformation of their structure. These relate to various activities aimed at improving the quality of public spaces within the city and its downtown areas, revitalization of an area degraded by placing large areas of urban projects in the framework of complex projects. In parallel, ongoing exploration of various economic activities to ensure high quality of space by location in the vicinity of the highly urbanized areas of specialized services related to science, culture, health, recreation. The result of these actions are implemented in a number of rebuilding the central areas of many European cities, which often include significant their surfaces. They are conducted on the basis of established multi-precision stages and their effect is to increase the quality and attractiveness of urban space. Summary of the achievements of the interventions in several Polish assumptions reveals differences in the design of these projects.
