Abstract: Nieustające zmiany współczesnej architektury każą zastanowić się nad kondycją tej dziedziny twórczości. Szeroki zakres tematów, ogromna liczba koncepcji i idei próbują nadążyć za zmianami i postępem technologicznym. Odmienne definicje, propozycje przestrzenne i ścierające się poglądy tworzą dzisiejszą architekturę współczesną. Nowe, często odmienne, nurty stają się znakiem rozpoznawczym teraźniejszości. Różnorodność architektonicznych teorii staje się współczesną mitologią próbującą opisać złożoność przestrzenną świata.

The ongoing changes in the current architectural trends and studies make it necessary to reflect upon the condition of this field of creative work. A wide scope of themes, a great number of concepts and ideas are striving to face the changes and technological developments. Different definitions and spatial proposals, as well as clashing views, all contribute to contemporary architecture today. New, often dissimilar trends are becoming the hallmark of the present. The variety of architectural theories is becoming a modern-day mythology that attempts to describe the world’s spatial complexity.
