Wykład niniejszy jest skierowany do tych, którzy wierzą w konieczność istnienia teorii projektowania. Dzisiaj ta potrzeba jest wielka; wynika ze sprzeczności przykładów architektury współczesnej. Wydaje się, że w architekturze i w sztuce utracono jednolity punkt widzenia pozwalający tworzyć teorię – tę świadomość społeczną, która zawsze była podstawą sztuki budowania.
This lecture is aimed at those who believe in the need for a theory of design. Today this need is great, and it can be recognized in the contradictory nature of the examples provided by contemporary architecture. A unitary viewpoint – that civil consciousness that has always formed the basis for the art of construction – should serve as the foundation for such a theory, but architecture, as in art, such a viewpoint seems to have been lost.
