Abstract
Projektanci współczesnych budynków bardzo chętnie sięgają po materiały elewacyjne, które odznaczają się dużą gładkością powierzchni i są całkowicie niedyfuzyjne – takie jak szkło i pokrycia metalowe. Brak możliwości wsiąknięcia w powierzchnię fasady odparowania opadów skutkuje powstaniem strumienia wody spływającego po ścianie. Przy odwodnieniu powierzchniowym nie mają zastosowania tradycyjne systemy odwodnienia (rynny i rury spustowe), kontrastujące estetycznie z nowoczesną stylistyką obiektu. Odwodnienie liniowe przy ścianie budynku zapewnia prawidłowe odprowadzenie wody z elewacji, jednak najczęściej jakość estetyczna tego elementu jest niesłusznie pomijana przy konsekwentnym kreśleniu kształtu budynku. Nie należy zapominać o możliwości dopasowania elementów odwodnienia, aby podkreślić formę obiektu lub ukształtować je jako neutralne tło dla eksponowanej fasady.
Modern building designers are constantly looking for smoother façades materials for their projects, as smooth and as proof as glass or metal. Water is unable to reach to the inner structure of those materials, and starts to flow down to the ground. It's called surface draining and has no such elements as traditional pipes and gutters. Linear draining is the most important part of this system, because it catches rain water from the façade, and transports it to the canalisation. It's also the most forgotten element when esthetical issues matters, but mostly is placed in highly visible and major spots, as like as main entrance or front façade, close to the walkway. We must not to forget about visual aspects of those elements during design process, because they can have huge influence in positive or negative quality of a building.
