Abstrakt
The Inventory focuses on the use of renewable energy in the areas of production of electricity, heat, and transport. This study arises at a special moment for renewable energy sources (RES) in Poland: on the eve of 2020, which closes the current perspective of energy transformation and the development of RES. Thus, we can already make some assessment of the adopted objectives, policies, plans, actions, and results. One should also draw conclusions and indicate directions that ought to be regarded in the perspective of the new horizons of 2030 and 2040. The authors of this study contributed as external experts to the EU project “Sustainable Metropolitan Areas and the Role of The Edge City (SmartEdge)”, implemented by Krakow Metropolis Association under the Interreg Europe Program. The SmartEdge project addresses the potential for greenhouse gas emission reduction in the metropolitan area, focusing on urban communes of KrOF outside the core city.
