Abstract
Artykuł przedstawia problemy komunikacyjne występujące we współczesnych aglomeracjach. Jego podstawę stanowi analiza ciągłości traktów śródmiejskich w Poznaniu. Sprawdzano, w jakim zakresie miasto realizuje potrzeby pieszych i kierowców. Wskazano problemy wynikające z przyznawania pierwszeństwa jednej formie ruchu ponad innymi. Okazuje się, że badane węzły komunikacyjne pomimo zlokalizowania w śródmieściu nie spełniają tradycyjnych dla śródmieść funkcji.
The article deals with communication problems occurring in contemporary agglomerations. Its basis is the analysis of the continuity of downtown routes in Poznań. It compares the extent to which the city meets the needs of pedestrians and drivers and points to the problems resulting from prioritizing one form of traffic over another. It turns out that the examined transport hubs, despite their location, fulfill the traditional functions of downtowns.
