Abstract
Celem rozprawy było opracowanie metod stosowania dodatków stałego wzmocnienia w druku 3D za pomocą technologii Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF).
Część eksperymentalna analizowała wpływ ciągłych i rozproszonych włókien na właściwości kompozytów na bazie PLA w druku 3D. Oceniono możliwość użycia różnych włókien, w tym naturalnych, na potrzeby zrównoważonego rozwoju technologii. Badanie szczegółowo opisuje proces produkcji filamentów zawierających ciągłe i rozproszone włókna, podkreślając wyzwania związane z ekstruzją i doborem parametrów. Omówiono także rozwój i testowanie nowych głowic drukujących do aplikacji materiałów kompozytowych oraz mechanikę cięcia włókien i kontrolę ich pozycji podczas drukowania.
Prezentowano testy laboratoryjne, takie jak wytrzymałość na zginanie, wytrzymałość na rozciąganie i odporność na uderzenia, oceniając wpływ włókien na właściwości mechaniczne wydrukowanych elementów. Dzięki nim oceniono skuteczność proponowanych metod wzmocnienia oraz zidentyfikowały obszary wymagające dalszych badań. Rozprawa zawierała również rozwój i wdrożenie rozwiązań technologicznych do produkcji kompozytów PLA z naturalnymi włóknami (krótkimi i ciągłymi) oraz projektowanie wielkogabarytowych drukarek 3D.
Dissertation aimed to develop methods for using solid reinforcement additives in 3D printing through Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) technology.
The experimental section analyzed the impact of continuous and dispersed fibers on the properties of PLA-based composites in 3D printing. The feasibility of various fibers, including natural ones for sustainable technology development, was evaluated. The study detailed the filament production process involving continuous and dispersed fibers, emphasizing the extrusion challenges and parameter selection. It also covered the development and testing of new printing heads for applying composite materials and discussed the mechanics of fiber cutting and position control during printing.
Laboratory tests, such as bending strength, tensile strength, and impact resistance, were presented, assessing the impact of fibers on the mechanical properties of printed elements. Through them evaluated the effectiveness of the proposed reinforcement methods and identified areas for further research. The dissertation also included the development and implementation of technological Solutions for producing PLA composites with natural fibers (short and continuous) and designing large-scale 3D printers.
